I liked the realistic feel of this. It uses different fonts to distinguish between languages. The thick cursive black marker (in Russian, presumably) is an agreeable contrast to the other sans-serif English language font, and to the precision of vector grey Manhattan streets. Splotches of color are nice too, reminding me of watercolor. Yet there is contrast, again, of a practical sort: The horizontal latitude-like lines keep it tidy, organized, and are functional.

Stack Overflow appears to be experiencing some site availability problems too. I would prepare for some nation-wide impact on internet resource availability as a result of the storm.

Check Amazon status board (especially Ashburn, VA) and Google App Engine status board. Both should be indicative of any issues.

Looking up at buildings in the Financial District at night

I miss living in New York City. I miss loved ones. They are gone from this world now. Twelve years ago, they were alive. I miss you, my Husband. And my Father, and Phyllis, Aunt Bertha, Grandma Sylvia, Cousin Celia, Mel. I miss you, I think of you every day. The grief is unrelenting. I love each of you. Always. Always. In my mind and in my heart. I wish I had appreciated, been kinder, more respectful, more devoted, more loving to you, when you were alive. Now you are gone. Forever. I love you. I miss you.

I think that I will be taking a break from Tumblr for awhile. I need to seriously look for, and find gainful employment. It is dire.
